Prizes may be one or more small, unusual, or duplicate items which were not appropriate for the silent or live auctions. This is a great way to include all guest at your charity auction and create excite to win great prizes!

Gift From the Heart

Direct request for donations to the cause.  The purpose of a cash call is to gather all possible donations from the audience who have attended and supported the event. It is usually conducted around the time of the live auction.  This time during the auction fundraising, the benefit auctioneer encourages direct giving to the cause.  This portion of the event is also 100% tax deductible for auction bidders.

Selling a Commemorative Item

Having a professional photographer take photos of attendees in front of a themed backdrop, or selling centerpieces and other decorations from the event.  If your wine auction or any other themed auction for charity has a celebrity attending, you may also wish to have your fundraising auctioneer sell an autographed photo or special meet and greet to benefit your cause.

Fund a Specific Need

A special area is designated for organization staff to highlight specific funding needs.  Usually, small posters, photos, or miniature models are on display to provide reference.  Organization staff are on hand to help guests understand how their donation would solve a problem, and also to accept payments on the spot.  

Surcharge on Cash Bar or Valet

 Occasionally charities will add a dollar or two to the venue’s base rate for drinks or parking, thus collecting hundreds of additional dollars in proceeds.  There are endless charity auction ideas for every organization, big or small!
